JROTC is a cornerstone of Garinger student’s high school experience, teaching invaluable skills in teamwork, leadership, discipline, and community service.
Our goal is clear: to make incredible opportunities available at low or no cost to our student-cadets, removing financial barriers so every student can participate and grow.
A robust Booster Club is the engine behind many of our program's most enriching activities. By joining, you help us ensure that all of our cadets—especially here at Garinger—have access to resources that might otherwise be out of reach.
Service in Action. Our cadets aren't just students; they are active leaders in the Charlotte community. Through Color Guards, local volunteer service, and community outreach, we teach our Wildcats that true leadership begins with giving back.
The Booster Club ensures every cadet has the uniforms, food, transportation, and lodging needed to represent Garinger High School with pride
The Student-Cadet Path. JROTC is a leadership laboratory where cadets manage teams, plan events, and hold themselves accountable to the Cadet Chain of Command.
We provide the resources for advanced leadership training, national level team competitions, and specialized equipment that empower our cadets to graduate as confident, capable leaders ready for college or career.
The Foundation. Integrity, honor, and personal responsibility are the core of the Wildcat Battalion spirit. We support a curriculum that emphasizes ethics, self-discipline, and academic excellence.
By removing financial barriers to participation in program events, we ensure that every cadet has the opportunity to build a life-long foundation of strong character.
The Garinger High School JROTC Booster Club is immensely proud of the resilience and leadership shown by our Wildcat Battalion this year. Our primary mission is to remove financial barriers to excellence, and seeing that investment turn into community impact is our greatest reward. Key highlights include:
500+ Hours of Community Impact: Our Booster Club funded the logistics and equipment necessary for our Cadets to volunteer over 500 hours of service to the East Charlotte community. From local Color Guards to community clean-ups, lending a helping hand at local shelters, our Cadets are visible leaders in action.
JA Day at Shamrock Gardens Elementary: We successfully sponsored and coordinated a Junior Achievement (JA) Day partnership. Our high school Cadets stepped into the role of teachers at Shamrock Gardens Elementary, delivering vital financial literacy and career-readiness lessons to younger students. This initiative bridges the gap between generations and fosters a spirit of mentorship.
Competitive Excellence: Through our fundraising efforts, we provided the registration fees, travel, and specialized gear for our Raider, Drone, and Drill teams. Our Cadets competed in multiple district and regional events, consistently demonstrating the discipline and teamwork that define the Garinger JROTC spirit.
By providing the 'behind-the-scenes' support ~from competition snacks to bus fuel~the Booster Club ensures that every Cadet, regardless of financial background, can say they were part of something life-changing.
